Operation Christmas Child
By filling ordinary shoeboxes, you can be part of giving boys and girls what may be their first gift ever! Help Hope Central Christian Church send shoeboxes full of toys, school and hygiene supplies, and the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world. Local churches in more than 100 nations hand out these gifts, a tangible expression of God’s love, at festive outreach events where the Gospel is presented in a child-friendly way. Shoebox recipients are invited to participate in the 12-lesson follow-up discipleship program, The Greatest Journey.
Back to school sales are a great time to purchase items for Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts! Items like crayons, markers, pencils, pencil sharpeners, scissors, washcloths, and t-shirts (sizes 4T-adult medium) are all useful and desired items to include in shoeboxes.
